2024 Tax Club Quiz Competition: Six Schools Advance to the Finals
The thrilling journey of the 2024 Tax Club Quiz Competition, organized by the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS) in collaboration with the Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, is nearing its climax as six schools qualify for the grand finale.
After a rigorous preliminary round held from 24th June to 4th July 2024, where 83 out of 154 registered schools participated from the comfort of their schools, twelve advanced to the semi-finals. These twelve battled it out in an online Computer-Based Test (CBT) on 8th and 9th October, 2024, with strict monitoring by the KW-IRS Tax Club Advocacy Committee and Mrs. Roseline Ayansola, representing the Honourable Commissioner for Education.
The six schools moving forward are:
Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model College, Asa Dam
Government Secondary School, Lafiagi
Shepherd Secondary School, Lafiagi
Government Day Secondary School, Gaa-Akanbi
Kwara State College of Education Model Secondary School, Oro
Anglican Boys’ Academy, Oro
These finalists will compete for the coveted N2.5 million grand prize at the final stage, set to take place in Ilorin on 7th November, 2024.
